Obituary for William Brian "Bill" Roach
ROACH, William Brian “Bill”, B.A., M.Ed. 1942 - 2022
Peacefully on Thursday, October 13th at 3:00 pm, in his 80th year. Beloved life partner of Anne Pedersen. Loving father of Bryn Roach (Diana), Shane Roach (Tiffany), Bri Sharp (Bryan) and Hunter Pedersen (Caitlin); Dear grandfather of Lidia, Eric, Autumn, Nolan, Ainslyn, Noah and Hannah: Brother of Norma Salomon; Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Niagara Falls, Bill was a lifelong resident. A graduate of Stamford C.V.I., he went on to earn his B.A. and M. Ed., and was a teacher with the D.S.B.N. from 1965-1998, and taught at John Marshall, Princess Margaret, Martha Cullimore and Lord Elgin. Early in his teaching career, Bill was honoured to receive the Young Man of the Year award from the Niagara Falls Jaycees. He was active in the community as a Niagara Falls Kinsmen member, a coach with the Red Raiders Basketball organization, a Board member of the Boys & Girls Club, and as a volunteer with Project Share.
Cremation has taken place. Bill’s family will receive friends on Wednesday October 19, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Thursday, October. 20th, at 11:00 am, with procession leaving from Morse & Son, promptly at 10:30 am. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish, may make a memorial donation to either Project Share or to the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club.
