Obituary for Wilma "June" Graham

GRAHAM, Wilma “June” - It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the passing of Wilma “June” Graham on Saturday May 1, 2021 surrounded by the love of her daughter and her grandchildren Heather, William and Holly. June was in her 96th year. She is the loving and devoted mother to Anne Louise Graham-Chatelain (Glenn) and cherished grandma to Heather (Ryan), William (Taylor) and Holly (Ethan). She will also be remembered by her son, Stewart Graham (Pauline), her grandsons, Cameron, Kyle and Andrew as well as three great grandchildren. Her beloved husband, Duncan, of 54 years, predeceased her in 2001. Also waiting in heaven for her are June’s parents William and Sarah Pringle and her two sisters, Helen and Betty.
June was an amazing woman who lived a full and wonderful life. Born in Grantham Township, she married the love of her life, Duncan, in 1947 and moved to Niagara Falls where they raised their family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, a NASCAR fan, a Blue Jays fan, a gardener with a green thumb and one who thoroughly enjoyed her home. She was a woman of many talents and kept busy doing crafts, scrapbooking, oil painting and playing the organ to name a few. Most of all she loved her family and instilled strong values that have served them well. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She was a grandma that had ears that truly listened, arms that always held, a love that’s never ending and heart that’s made of gold.
Her nieces and nephew, sister-in-law, longtime friends, and caregivers will miss June. Anne Louise is truly grateful to all of her mom’s caregivers for all their compassion and loving care given to June, particularly in this past year.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral has been held to celebrate the wonderful life of June. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Stamford, or to the charity of one’s choice.
“To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.”
She meant the world to Anne Louise and her family. We will always love you and we know how very much you loved us in return. You were a blessing to us all our lives and will be forever in our hearts.
