It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Gert at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the age of 77.
Beloved wife of the late Jack (1983). Longtime partner of Bob Gilpin, Dunnville.
Loving mother of Rob (Janet), Whitby and Todd (Judy Rugole), Beamsville.
Cherished grandmother of Carly, Alec, Jordan (Mike Smith) and Chelsea. Great grandmother of Nathan. Dear sister of Gerald Boyer (late Carol), Phil Boyer (Ruth), Marie Margetti (late Louis), Lorraine Earl and David Boyer. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Tom and Alfred “Hoppy” Boyer. Gert was a longtime employee with Canadian Home Products and she was actively involved with the Dunnville Lioness Club.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10-11 a.m., with the service at 11 a.m. Private family burial in Fairview Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Dunnville Lioness Club.
