Ernie Morgan

G Ernest Morgan, CFSP

President
A third generation funeral director, Ernie has been a managing director with Morgan Funeral Homes (Morse & Son Chapel) since 1990. Born in Toronto and raised in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ernie moved to Niagara Falls in 1971. He started working full-time as an intern at the funeral home in 1977 and graduated with honours from Humber College's Funeral Services Education Program in 1978. 
He has a continuing involvement with a number of industry professional associations. He has served as President of the Ontario Funeral Service Association (2011-12), as well as being a member of that organization's Management and Legislative Committees. He is also a past president of the Niagara District Funeral Association and has served as a member of the Humber College Advisory Committee for Funeral Service Education. In addition, he is a past director of the Trust 100 (Canada) Network of Family Owned Funeral Homes.
Ernie is a member of the Lundy's Lane United Church, an active member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Niagara Falls Canada, and was a long-time member of the Niagara Falls Curling Club. 
A recipient of a Volunteer award from the City of Niagara Falls in the fall of 2006, Ernie also recently earned his CFSP designation (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner) from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service for credits earned for continuing education, as a public speaker and for community service.
He lives in Niagara Falls with his wife Susan and daughter Brittany.
Alain Gignac

Alain Gignac

Managing Director
Alain started with Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes during his internship in May 1997. Upon graduating and licensing in 1998, he has stayed on as a full time director and became Managing Funeral Director in May 2012. Alain is member of the Niagara District Funeral Service Association, Ontario Funeral Service Association, and the Funeral Service Association of Canada.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Al attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School and graduated from Westlane Secondary in 1993 receiving the Auto Mechanics Award. He has a family heritage with St. Patrick’s Church and St. Antoine de Padoue Church where he is a Brother Knight with the Chevaliers de Colomb Council 9253.  
From the age of 11 years old music has been an influential part of Alain’s life. As an avid drummer, studying and teaching percussion has been his passion. He has been a member of local bands and has taken part is several charitable fund raiser music events. Al has a great love of animals and worked at Bridgeview Animal Hospital before beginning his career in funeral service. Al and his wife Rachael live in Chippawa along with their son Andre and daughter Lily.
Dayna Harold

Dayna Harold

Funeral Director

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Dayna is a proud graduate of Denis Morris Catholic High School. Following her passion for the arts, she attended school in Toronto, where she earned a diploma in Acting for Film, Television, and Theatre.

For many years Dayna worked as a server at various establishments throughout the Niagara Region, building strong connections within the community and developing the compassionate, people-focused approach that continues to define her career today. She later pursued funeral service education, obtained her Funeral Director's Licence, and found her professional home with Morse & Son Funeral Home.

A dedicated member of the local arts community, Dayna has been actively involved in various community theatre organizations across Niagara for more than 20 years. Whether performing on stage, supporting productions behind the scenes, or fostering connections within the theatre community, she remains passionate about the arts and the relationships they create.

Outside of work, Dayna is a self proclaimed “crazy cat lady” and has proudly shared her home with five hairless cats over the years. Her warmth, creativity, and commitment to serving others make her a valued member of both the funeral profession and the Niagara community.

Kieron Keegan

Kieron Keegan

Funeral Director

Kieron has served in funeral service in Niagara since 2010 and joined the Morse & Son team in May 2026. He was raised by his adoptive family in St. Catharines and attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School and The District of Niagara Academy for the Arts at Niagara District Secondary School. After attending Niagara College for Graphic Arts, Kieron worked as a freelance graphic artist, attaining a professional designation of Adobe Certified Expert (ACE). A temporary graphic artist position covering a maternity leave at a local funeral home ushered Kieron into a vocation of service. What began as a short-term opportunity quickly became something far more meaningful. Through that experience, Kieron discovered a deep appreciation for the role funeral service plays in supporting families during some of life’s most difficult moments. After completing the Funeral Director (Class 1) program at Humber College, Kieron committed himself fully to the profession. Giving back has always been central to who Kieron is. Over the years, he has contributed thousands of volunteer hours and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for a wide range of causes. His involvement has extended to board leadership and hands-on support with organizations both locally and beyond, including Heartland Forest Nature Experience, Lions International, Pride Niagara, Distress Centre Niagara, Victim Services Niagara, Brant Sexual Assault Centre, Hamilton Health Sciences Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Clinic, Hospice Niagara, Bob Kemp Hospice, Hospice Waterloo, Cops and Kids Niagara, Zachary’s Paws for Healing, OK2BME, Positive Living Niagara, Positive Health Network, Big Brothers Big Sisters Niagara, Buffalo Bills Foundation, Community Services Foundation Inc., and many others. Outside of his professional and community work, he holds a title he takes perhaps just as seriously: Certified Crazy Corgi Connoisseur. As the proud “Papa” to Chatsworth the Corgi, he can often be found embracing the lighter side of life - usually involving short legs, big ears, a lot of personality and many, many laughs.


Brittany Morgan

Brittany Morgan

Funeral Director
A Niagara Falls native, Brittany entered Funeral Service as a fourth generation member of the Morgan family. She spent a semester as an A.N. Myer Secondary School cooperative student with Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes, and then returned for more than a year as a funeral director assistant. Brittany then entered the Funeral Service Education program at Humber College. Graduating in 2014, she earned honours during her second semester, and became a licensed funeral director. As a youth, Brittany was an avid swimmer, having achieved Bronze Star, and now enjoys being an active member of YMCA.
Kristin Paterson

Kristin (Snider) Paterson

Funeral Director
A Chippawa native, Kristin joined Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes on July 1st, 2002, having completed her internship with the J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, in Welland. She currently lives in Chippawa with her husband, Andrew, where she has a family heritage with Sacred Heart R.C. Church. An avid singer, Kristin was a swimming instructor with the Niagara Falls Y.M.C.A. before pursuing her career in funeral service. She currently serves on the Board of the Niagara District Funeral Service Association.
Anne Taylor

David Turner

Funeral Director
Born in St. Catharines and raised in Grimsby ON, David started his funeral service internship in Hamilton before Completing with Morse and son in 2023. He has family Heritage with St. Joseph Parish Grimsby. David currently calls St. Catherines his home with his eldest of four Siblings. In his teenage years David obtained his second-degree black belt in karate, Often would call the stage his home being involved in his high school productions as well as, being a warrant officer second class in 62 phantom squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Grimsby.
