Life Story for Valentino Camelia

CAMELIA, Valentino – Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Concetta for 63 years. Loving father of John and his wife Pam (Lane) and Mary Garofalo and her husband Frank. Dear nonni of Diana Pace (Joe), Pamela Bursey (Shane), Frances Garofalo, Bianca Camelia, Valentino Camelia; and great-grandchildren Lucas, Leo and Noah. Dearly loved brother of Pelligrino Camelia (Carmela) and brother-in-law of Pasqualina DeMizio (the late Giuseppe), Maria (Clemente) Della-Marca, Nicolina Compare (the late Augustino) and Immacolata Damiano (Pasquale). Predeceased by brothers-in-law Salvatore and Luigi Augello-Todino. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Valentino loved to work in his garden and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Thursday (today) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Ronald McDonald House.
