Life Story for Orlin A. Thomas

Orlin A. Thomas
Orlin A. Thomas - Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, Orlin went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12th, 2018. Survived and deeply missed by loving wife Yvonne, brother Ken, son David, and daughters Pam (the late Jeff), Linda Cybulski (Dan) and Lori Tyrrell (Sean). Orlin’s pride and joy were his 7 grandchildren Stephen, Jessica, Jordan, Lexie, Holly, Matthew and Eric and his great grandson Gideon. Predeceased by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters.
Orlin was born in Englehart Ontario on June 8, 1931. Orlin retired from Enbridge after more than 40 years of employment. Orlin will be missed by his church family at Main Street Baptist. His place was usually in front of the church playing his guitar and singing with the choir or in his quartet, or anywhere there was a microphone and an instrument to play. If Orlin wasn’t playing guitar or singing, you could find him in his garden, in which he took great pride. He played guitar with Pastor Evan Craig and “the Good News Men” at area nursing homes or for shut ins, and special events. Dad has been practicing his music for his whole life and is now singing with the greatest choir of all, singing praises to our Lord in Glory.
Family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 7-9 PM and Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 12-1 PM with a celebration of his life at 1 PM. The family would like to thank all the staff at Eventide home who have cared for Orlin for the past two years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Main Street Baptist Church, Brain Injury Community Re-entry or to Heart & Stroke would be appreciated.
