Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Maves, Brad, Bart, Brett and their families on the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather. I remember many times where Mr. Maves joined us on your backyard hockey rink and other activities. He was always happy and smiling and we all enjoyed living next door to you. Condolence: Mrs Maves and Family
I was saddened to read about your husband and father's passing. I remember "Mr Maves" as a kind and friendly neighbour who walked humbly, encouraging and helping others wherever he could. He led by example, loving his family and his community.

Condolence From: Jerry and Kris Cunningham
Condolence: Aunt Paula, Brad, Bart, Brett and their families:

Hard to know what to say-I think you all know how we felt about "Uncle Pete"-great memories of his kindness and positive attitude, even when things got tough.

I'll always remember him giving me my first job (moving office furniture at NOS), and the confidence and encouragement he gave me-how he would take me under his wing to play in his men's "pick up" basketball games (no fouls called :>))-to help try to toughen me up a bit when that's what I needed. How he totally supported and encouraged me in my baseball dreams and how I got to be a part of his sons' lives (my cousins) as the "head babysitter" where we would play hours of floor hockey, whiffle ball, all with stats, of course. I miss all that, but carry the memories.

We are grateful for the memories, for his being a great husband, dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, brother, uncle (to me), role model and friend-he will be missed, but his positive memory and legacy will live on in the form of a beautiful family he helped mold. His courageous battle these past few years inspired many.

May he rest in peace and now, will get busy organizing the Maves clan who preceded him and save a spot for the rest of us.

Love,
Jerry and Kris

Condolence: Mrs. Maves & Family,

Very sad to read the news about Coach Maves. A very kind and gentle man who led by example, and instilled in me the love of baseball. Through the game he also taught us life's fundamentals like loyalty, integrity, and respect. He brought out the best in people, and the wisdom he shared I have passed to our children. Along with my brothers, please accept our sincere condolences. Ping Pong Chubbsy, we'll miss you!

Condolence: To Paula , Bart & Julie and all the Maves clan our deepest and sincerest condolences on the the passing of Peter.
Peter's obituary summed him, his life and personality very well. He was always a great competitor and an even greater friend.
His love for curling, golf and of course his grandson's baseball is well known.
I enjoyed the many times (5 years) that I worked with Peter at Thundering Waters but more so the many golf games with the Travelling Seniors, Friday Morning Seniors etc. Memories of those still bring a smile to my face; you are in our memories. Rest in Peace my friend.
