My Own Story

Dad grew up in Welland the youngest of 10 children, pre-deceased of brothers Bill, Jack, Joe, Walter and Mike, survived by brother Tony and sisters Sophie, Olga and Nellie.

After originally joining the Canadian Air Force, he married fathered three children (Tom, Andrea and Lyndsay) then relocated back to Welland fathering a fourth child (Gregg).  Dad worked at Atlas Steels for 33 years, officiially retired then continued to work part time to pass the time.

Although he was always hard working man throughout his life, he enjoyed watching his kids play different sports at every opportunity.

His devotion to the Toronto Maple Leafs was never ending, constantly trading his opinion with his sons whenever he could.

Dad was extremely proud of his children and their families and made them all feel they had accomplished something in life.

We may not have talked a whole lot as we have gotten older, busy watching our own families grow, but it doesnt mean we didn't genuinely care about each other.

Dad was always described by people I met as a "nice man" and we'll miss him.  Love you Tom.
