ORT, Almon John-passed away peacefully on Sunday March 13, 2005 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 98. Predeceased by his wife Mildred (2002). Dear father of William (Jean) of Nashua, New Hampshire. Dear grandfather of Steven of San Antonio, Texas and Kevin (Heidi) of Hillsboro, New Hampshire. Brother of Charles (Marjory) of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his brother Richard (1982). Almon was recently honored having been a loyal member of the Chippawa Lions Club for 60 years. He was a member of the J. Singers for some years. He was a member of Faith Reformed Church of Stevensville. Mr. Ort resided at Willoughby Manor for the past six years and recently moved to the Bella Senior Long Term Care Residence both in Niagara Falls.
Almon is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 5917 Main Street where his family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12-1:00 o’clock followed by a service at 1:00 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow the service at the Morse & Son Family Care Centre. Interment will follow the reception at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Faith Reformed Church Building Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
