BECKEN, Charles Wayne - A lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, Charles Wayne Becken passed peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on November 6, 2018. Loving husband of 53 years to Diane; devoted father to Lynn (Jeff) Farquharson, Kimberly (Tom Lynam), and Bob (Amy); cherished grandfather to Camryn, Holly, Jayden, Myah, Hope, and Chance. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Grace, and brother, Barry. Wayne will be fondly remembered for his service to the community: trustee of Stamford Lane United Church, Sunday school teacher, volunteer with the Firehall Theatre, and soccer coach. He enjoyed nature, picnics, photography and time with his family. Wayne was a graduate of McMaster University and worked for many years at Brights Winery (Vincor).
Visitation will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Thursday, November 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service in celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Stamford Lane United Church, 3855 St. Peter Avenue, Niagara Falls, on Friday, November 9 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial donations to Stamford Lane United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
