Life Story for Harold Edward Garrett

GARRETT, Harold Edward - Died February 2, 2007 quietly as was his way. Harold bore his illness with incomplainable dignity and cheerfulness and will be remembered for his gentlemanly manners by all the dedicated staff of Versa Care Centre. Harold was born in Toronto and came to the Niagara area when he was eighteen and for fifty years was a grape grower. Upon retirement he moved to St. Catharines in 1982. His wealth of knowledge remained with him until he went to be with his Lord. He was the only son of the late Edna and Albert Garrett. Harold is survived by his devoted and loving wife Yvonne and recently celebrated twenty seven years of marriage. Harold also leaves behind his most loving sister Marjorie E. Garrett, of Woodstock, cousin Ted (Alice) Watt, of Nova Scotia. Related by marriage, Rhoda, Philip and Thomas Irvine and Carol Heuser. Harold was in his 95th year and was very active in all activities hours before his death. He was a roll model in living and a roll model in dying and leaves a legacy of caring and kindness.
