Life Story for James "Jim" Hodkin

James "Jim"  Hodkin
HODKIN, James (Jim) - Suddenly on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at his home in the arms of his loving son Jamie, at the age of 88. Jim was a consummate musician entertaining crowds from the age of three. He was the founder of the Dixieliners Jazz Band and many other groups. Beloved husband of the late Freida. Dearest father of Jamie Hodkin and Debbie Loat. Brother of Jack, Betty Cruikshank and Sharon Clayton. Also, survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by parents James and Elizabeth Hodkin, brother David, daughter Pamela Robb and grandson Adam Loat.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. A service to celebrate Jim’s life will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial in St. Davids-Queenston United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
