COYNE, Joan (Marshall) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our treasured mother and Nana, Joan Coyne. She was called home by her beloved husband, John on their 71st wedding anniversary, Thursday, August 9, 2018 from the Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie, at the age of 92. Loving mother of Christine Julian (Paul), Alan Coyne (Becky), of Sarnia, Josie Massard (Byron) and the late Pauline Coyne. Adored Nana of Tim (Deanna), Mark (Mika), Karen (John), Lesley (Mark), Jessica (Josh) and Amanda (Kyle). Great Nana/Nana J to Austin, Aysia, Mariah, Madelyn, Cole, Lucas, Nolan, Oliver, Jayden, Remy and Nora. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joan immigrated to Niagara Falls, Ontario from England with her husband and 4 young children in 1957. She worked for over 30 years at Meadows Pharmacy and was known as the “British lady” to many of the high school students. Joan was a member of the R.C.N.A. and enjoyed dancing with her husband at many social events. She was a loyal member of Our Lady of the Scapular Church.
