METCALF, Joan (nee Yaxley)
September 10, 1925 – April 2, 2017
Sadly, we announce the peaceful passing of our mom at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie. Predeceased by her husband George William Metcalf (Dec. 2003). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Bruce (Diane), Wayne (Jackie), Susan Buitenhuis (Pete) and Judy Hingston (Randy). Proud grandma of Delorra (Jason), Jason, Rhonda (Al), Shawn (Anna), Marnie (Bryan), Kim (Matt), Christine (Jamie), Kyle, Neil (Courtney) and many great-grandchildren. Joan will also be missed by her extended family - the entire staff at Gilmore Lodge. We extend our heartfelt thanks for all their kindness and care. Special thanks to the Palliative Care team for their care. At the request of our mom cremation and private interment will take place. Donations to Gilmore Lodge Volunteer Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls.
