SMITH-SLINGERLAND Margaret Eleanor -
Passed away peacefully at Great Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Richard Slingerland and brother Charles “Allen” Smith. She leaves behind her stepchildren Gary (Kathie) Slingerland, June (Richard) Pozzebon, Ken (Janice) Slingerland and Jamie (Connie) Slingerland. Grandchildren Cindy (Jake) Fast, Jeff (Liz) Slingerland, Matthew Pozzebon & Bernadette Summers, Jordan Pozzebon & Kristin Harris, Aaron Pozzebon, Jena (Corey) Paul, Michael Slingerland, Richard (Willow) Slingerland, Rachel (Jared) Goerz and great grandchildren Sarah and Alex. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Carrie Smith & niece Sharon (Ian) Gunn & nephew David (Bev) Smith. Margaret was born in Sackville and grew up in Moncton N.B. Margaret worked for Air Canada for many years as a Computer Program Analyst. She enjoyed travelling and was dedicated to her church. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Thursday December 8th from 10am-11am at St. Davids- Queenston United Church with a service to celebrate Margaret’s life at 11am. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Davids-Queenston United Church or your charity of choice.
