GLUMAC, Mike (Milan) - On Sunday August 27, 2006 Mike passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital with his family by his side after a courageous battle in his 80th year. Loving husband of Jean (nee Cray) for 56 years, beloved father of Mike and his wife Barb and Randy. Dear grandpa of Michael (Melissa), Jason, Ashley (Daniel), Sarah and Kimberly. Brother of Mildred Bratina (Steve) and Helen Rogers (Ned). Predeceased by his parents Eli and Florence Glumac.
Mike will be well remembered for his years spent playing hockey with the Stamford Kerrio’s Senior B Hockey Team, the many softball teams, as an avid golfer and curler along with being inducted into the Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #51 and retired from the Ford Glass Plant where he was a supervisor.
Mike is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street. His family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation will be followed by a private family service. Interment will take place at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to Tender Wishes.
