Milan "Mike" VUKCEVICH
VUKCEVICH, Milan "Mike” - Went to be with Jesus peacefully at home with his family at his side on Wednesday June 5, 2002, at the age of 79. Mike was born in Yugoslavia and came to Canada in 1946. He was employed by Algoma Steel for 33 years. Beloved husband of Mary for 51 beautiful years and loving father of Bob Verdonik and his wife Lily of Mississauga; Dianne Trinder and her husband Scott of Sarnia; Jo-Anne Trinder and her husband Brent of St. Catharines; and son Chris of Welland. Lovingly remembered as "Deda” by his grandchildren Chris, Adam, Ryan, Faith, Mark, Jordan, and Josh. Also survived by his two brothers Nikola and Branko. Predeceased by his parents Krsto and Jovanka all of Montenegro. Mike is survived by many relative here in Canada and in Montenegro. Special thanks to Drs. Lawrence and Giesbrecht and nursing staff at Para Med, namely Tammy Ursacki, John Lee, and especially Kim Gatt.
The family invites friends and family at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen will be held on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The service of remembrance will be held on Saturday June 8th, 2002 at 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Welland. If desired memorial donations to the St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Niagara Falls or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
