SMITH, Robert James – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Wednesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Catherine Jewel for 64 years. Loving father of the late Joanne, Dianne, Ron (Kym), Terry and Robin (Tom). Cherished grandfather of Shane, Leah, Andrew, Pat, Bradley, Cordell, Vanessa, Felisha, Nash and Logan. Great-grandfather of Dylan, Bella, Lauren, Keiran, Abby, and Maxine. Cherished brother of Chris (Murla), Bill (Ann), and Marg (Jerry). Dear brother-in-law of Roy (Ann), and Dan (Sandra)Predeceased by his siblings, Gert (the late Hughie), Jack (Marg) Don and Ron. And his in-laws Joy, Ennie ( Algie) and Bill (Lynn). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. visitation on Monday from 12 pm to 1 pm. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at 1 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In memory of Bob, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family.
