Rocco "Rockey"  Palleschi
PALLESCHI, Rocco - Passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Fort Erie. Born on April 14, 1939 in Ceprano, Italy, came to Canada with mom and 4 brother and sisters. Survived by wife Jane and children Shannon (Jeff) Hummel, Rob Palleschi and Allyson (Yianni) Ioannou. Remembered by brother-in-law Rudy Corbi and Antonette, Audley Soulsby, Becky and Wes Hurl, Juliette and Will Soulsby, Barb and Jack Patterson and longtime friends Karen and Bob Kramp and Nordene Miller. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Justin and Breanna Hummel, Mauro and Ava Palleschi and Niko and Rocco Ioannou. Remembered also by many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Arduino and Anna Palleschi, sister Theresa Corbi, brother Gino and Margaret Palleschi, brother Raymond and Claire Palleschi and sister Lena and Nunzio Paniccia, father-in-law and mother-in-law Fred and Victorian Soulsby, grandson Jeffrey Hummel, nephew David Hurl, brothers-in-law Bob Soulsby and Richard Soulsby. Rockey operated J & R Haulage (Niagara) Ltd. from 1966. Thank you to the staff at Maple Park Lodge.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Rockey’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5645 Morrison St. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews United Church would be appreciated.
