ELLISON, Thomas Edward – Passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side at the Salvation Army Eventide Home on Saturday November 10, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Shirley for 46 years. Loving brother of Alice Burtch. Caring brother in-law of Linda Barrett. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary Ann Ellison, sister Lucy Brown and brother Arthur Ellison. Special thanks for God’s Angel Major Renee Clarke for all the prayers and support and love given to Tom, Shirley and Linda. The staff at Eventide Home were his second family and were always hugging and kissing him, showing their love and making him smile. At 18 years old, Tom enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces and served his country in World War II. After the war he worked for the City of Niagara Falls and retired in 1987 after 39 years.
A service to celebrate the life of Tom, will be held at the Eventide Home Chapel (5050 Jepson St. Niagara Falls) on Monday November 19, 2018 at 2 pm. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Salvation Army Eventide Home.
