Some Evergreen Memories of Lynn.

I met Lynn at Evergreen and she became a very close friend. Anyone who ever met Lynn will remember her fabulous smile and infectious laugh, as well as her kind soul. Lynn has to be the kindest person I ever met. Each year, we would start the countdown to Evergreen Day well in advance. Each year, on Evergreen Day - I would receive a text then a phone call from Lynn where she literally sang, Its Evergreen Day! with tremendous excitement. In 2017 and 2018, Lynn drove with me and Sam to Evergreen. We had so much fun singing along to ABBA and Queen in the front seat while my son Sam tried to block out our voices in the back seat. Any commentary from Sam would result in Lynn and I singing louder and with even more enthusiasm! Which we both found hilarious... Sam not so much. At Evergreen, Lynn and I enjoyed the lake more than any other adults it seemed. We would venture out to the raft, even in the extremely cold water temps. Lynn would tentatively tip toe through the water until suddenly, with no warning, she would dive into the frigid water and then proceed to swim leisurely to the raft where we would practice our half-hearted water aerobics and chit chat about anything and everything. Lynn and I also enjoyed walking along the shoreline - in the water - and once in a while had someone else join us. One memorable walk was when Gus joined us and didnt realize the water would get so deep. I will always remember Lynns laughter, coupled with slight concern, over Guss wallet and phone which were in his pocket and about to get submerged. Gus Gus as he is affectionately known as by the Evergreen crew, was not impressed! Everyday at Evergreen, any one of us would ask Lynn what was for lunch or dinner - Lynn always remembered the menu (the rest of us relied on Lynn for this memory as we, even after 15 years, never seem to remember). Lynn knew everyone by name and was loved by everyone. I will miss Lynn at the Evergreen sing-a-long. Nobody sang with as much enthusiasm as Lynn - especially do your ears hang low! There are so many more wonderful memories - square dancing, tie dye t-shirts, walks to the road... Stories of euchre victories.. I could go on and on! Lynn - I love you to pieces and will miss you like crazy. You will always have a piece of my heart and I will hold you to your promise to give me a sign when Im next at the raft at Evergreen. I just hope you wont be a bird and plop on me!! Rest In Peace my dear friend. Jackie xo
