Memories from Mum

Lou was an amazing person. She was clever , witty and never seemed to forget anything. She was accurate with everything she did and dismayed at my attempt at spreadsheets. Her sense of humour made you gasp sometimes but what you saw was what you got with Lou. She supported me so much when her Dad died and its seems unfair that she had to go through her own trauma so soon after that event. I remember our first holiday to North America when she intended to come on her own but we persuaded her Dad that it would be a good idea if we went along as we would only be going once. That turned out not to be the case and she ultimately made her home in Canada with her husband, Russell. She could turn her hand to any work and I had no worries that she would find a job when she came over in 2012, eventually finding her dream job at Book Outlet where she could share her great love of books. We had a short break last year to Goderich where we enjoyed walks by the lake and river and ate ice creams in the town centre. She will leave a big hole in my life but is now at peace.
